Julia Bluhm

Julia Bluhm rocks. She is only 14 years old and she has started a campaign in favor of showing at least one spread a month of models with no Photoshop retouches. Of course, the purpose of this is to show that everyone in magazines are not as perfect as they appear and helps other young girls feel better about their real beauty instead of thinking that perfection is the standard. Her campaign took off with 7,000 supporters initially. This led to a mock photo shoot of normal, confident girls outside of the headquarters of Seventeen Magazine and the personal delivery of a petition signed by 13,000. The campaign began in April and the number of supporters is now over 60,000. Most notably, one of the supporters is a former editor of Seventeen Magazine!
